Is Your Home Grossly Underinsured?

February 1, 2009

It's not a comforting feeling.  Over 70% of homes nationwide are underinsured, potentially costing their owners tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in the event of a total loss.  Thats why we've highlighted this important subject in the Real Estate Corner section ofour latest South Florida Living!  Free consumer newsletter.  You'll also find lots of other helpful advice, including how to identify dangerous respiratory infections, how to avoid the most common financial mistakes, wacky stories and trivia and a whole lot more.   But first.........

Here's what's new in the world of real estate: There continues to be great deals with short sales and foreclosures.  According to the area Multiple Listing Service, closed sales were up over 6% from last year.  Potential buyers shouldn't wait.  With a strong buyers market, combined with nearly all-time low mortgage rates, nows the time to get a great deal on your dream home.  The market is HOT!

Even though we watch our friends in the north with some exctreme cold and wintery conditions, the weather in South Florida is awesome.  Some cool days but for the most part, nice, nice weather.

Finally, we want you to know that you may call us for any reason.  And please let us know if a friend, family member or neighbor need a caring, competent real estate professional to help in buying or selling.

We truly appreciate your friendship and referrals.  Enjoy your issue!

Warmest regards,

Jim and Ruth Jacobs
